Le Mont de Craie N°17
The Champagne Le Mont de Craie N°17 by Pertois-Lebrun is an elegant Blanc de Blancs, produced from four ancient vineyards (Lieux-Dits) over 40 years old, all planted with Chardonnay and located around the Grand Cru village of Cramant. The cuvée, the result of the 2017 vintage, was produced in a limited run of only 1,390 bottles. Vinification took place in steel tanks, followed by ageing on its lees for at least 6 years before dégorgement. Final dosage of 1 g/l - making it an Extra Brut.
The Champagne Le Mont de Craie N°17 has an extraordinary level of elegance and complexity. Delicate fruity and citrus notes stand out on the nose, harmoniously intertwined with more intense hints of yeast and honey. On the palate, it offers an explosion of ripe fruit flavours, supported by a very fine perlage that caresses the palate. The structure, solid and enveloping, is masterfully balanced by a lively acidity and marked minerality, typical of the terroir of origin. A masterpiece of balance and refinement.
