The Champagne Les Chétillons N°16 by Pertois-Lebrun is a Blanc de Blancs crafted from the 2016 harvest, sourced from three parcels of Chardonnay located in the historic Lieu-Dit “Chétillon” within the Grand Cru of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. It was here, over 45 years ago, that founder Paul Pertois planted the vines which today give life to this cuvée of strong territorial identity.

Vinification follows a dual approach: 53% in stainless steel vats to preserve tension and freshness, and 47% in fût de chêne to impart depth and complexity. After the tirage, the wine undergoes at least 7 years of aging on the lees before disgorgement. Its style is defined by an Extra Brut dosage (2.5 g/l), emphasizing purity and expressive precision.

On tasting, Les Chétillons N°16 reveals a luminous and ultra-fine perlage. The nose offers elegance and intensity, with notes of ripe citrus, white flowers, hints of toasted hazelnut, fine pastry, and a subtle chalky vein. The palate is vibrant and complex, with precise acidity, a vertical structure and creamy texture, balanced by a long persistence that lingers on mineral and saline undertones, typical of the Le Mesnil-sur-Oger terroir. A limited production of only 1,582 bottles, encapsulating the mineral essence and nobility of the Côte des Blancs, making Les Chétillons N°16 a rare and coveted label among wine enthusiasts.

Pertois-Lebrun

Pertois-Lebrun is the story of five generations of Vignerons. The Pertois family began to produce and market their own Champagne in the early 1900s, but it was only in 1955 - following the marriage of Paul Pertois and Françoise Lebrun, winemaker from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger - that the Pertois-Lebrun brand was born. When they retired, the Domaine was taken over by one of their daughters, Odile.

Today, her grandchildren, Clément and his younger brother Antoine - the fifth generation - are both the real protagonists and continue the important family know-how. Together they devote themselves to the meticulous care of their 44 vineyard plots, a fantastic collection of plots, located in the highest villages - classified as Grand Cru - in the Côte des Blancs: Cramant, Mesnil, Oger, Chouilly and Oiry.

In order to produce an excellent Champagne, they cultivate sustainably with an eye to respecting the vines and the entire microbiological life of the soil. In their vineyards, they allow and encourage the penetration of root networks into the subsoil and the underlying chalky terroir, so that the Chardonnay grapes can achieve a magnificent aromatic concentration and rich minerality, which is then exquisitely expressed in their Champagnes Blanc de Blancs.
