Champagne Paul Launois

Composition #7

Champagne Composition #7 by Paul Launois is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from vineyards in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger village, Grand Cru in the prestigious CĂ´te des Blancs. Is made from the base of 2021 vintage (80%) with the addition of reserve wine for the remainder (20%); vinification takes place mainly in stainless steel tanks. This Blanc de Blancs ages on the lees for 24 months; fermentation is spontaneous and malolactic fermentation is carried out naturally. Dosage 2 g/l - Extra Brut.

Champagne composition #7 fresh and saline, it fully expresses the identity of the chalky and mineral terroir of the CĂ´te des Blancs; and the fineness of its bubbles give it pleasant balance and elegance.

Champagne Paul Launois takes shape in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, a Grand Cru village in the CĂ´te des Blancs, where the family has long been connected to viticulture and the supply of grapes to major Champagne houses. A turning point came in 2010, when Julien Launois, after international experiences, together with his wife Sarah took over the family Domaine and launched an independent project, realized with the first harvest in 2015 and the creation of the label dedicated to their son Paul.

Across approximately 6 hectares planted exclusively with Chardonnay, the production stands out for a precise and thoughtful approach, aimed at highlighting the identity of individual parcels and the chalky terroir of the CĂ´te des Blancs. The winemaking follows a measured philosophy, with a balanced use of stainless steel and oak, designed to guide the wine without altering its original expression. The result is a range of Champagnes defined by finesse, where balance, freshness, and mineral tension shape an elegant and deeply terroir-driven style.
