The Champagne Lux by Manon Boutillez-Guer originates in Villers-Marmery, a Premier Cru village in the Montagne de Reims, an area historically renowned for Chardonnay. The name “Lux,” from the Latin for “light,” evokes an idea of transparency and expressive clarity, a stylistic hallmark of this young vigneronne committed to thoughtful, environmentally respectful viticulture. This cuvée precisely interprets the chalky, vertical profile of the terroir, highlighting elegance and mineral tension.

This edition, based on the 2021 vintage, is crafted from a blend of 85% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Noir, with approximately 30–35% reserve wines adding stylistic continuity and greater aromatic depth. Vinification takes place primarily in stainless steel to preserve freshness and definition, followed by at least 24 months of aging on the lees. The low dosage, around 2 g/L, places the cuvée in the Extra Brut category, enhancing its purity and drive.

On the nose, Lux reveals bright aromas of fresh citrus, green apple, and white flowers, complemented by delicate hints of almond and freshly baked bread. On the palate, it shows a fine, flowing texture supported by vibrant acidity and a pronounced mineral imprint. The structure is balanced and dynamic, with a subtle, well-integrated mousse. The finish is precise, saline, and persistent, closing with harmonious elegance and overall coherence.

Produced in a limited run of only 2,280 bottles.
