Champagne Manon Boutillez-Guer
Extrait de Terroir "Les Huchettes"
The Champagne Extrait de Terroir 'Les Huchettes' by Manon Boutillez-Guer is an elegant Blanc de Blancs made from 100% Chardonnay, sourced from the eponymous 1.2-hectare lieu-dit located near the village of Villers-Marmery in the Montagne de Reims. This vineyard, particularly rich in chalk and minerals, is divided between old vines planted in 1991 and younger ones planted in 2004. The first edition, from the 2018 vintage, is born from the harmonious union of these two expressions of the terroir, revealing its authentic complexity and depth.
Vinification takes place in stainless steel vats to preserve the purity of the fruit and the distinct chalky character typical of Villers-Marmery. This is followed by approximately 36 months of lees aging before disgorgement. The dosage of 4 g/l, in Extra Brut style, enhances the precision and crystalline elegance of this Blanc de Blancs.
On the palate, Extrait de Terroir “Les Huchettes” stands out for its finesse and mineral tension, with aromas of white flowers, citrus, and chalk, evolving into notes of hazelnut and delicate brioche. The palate is vibrant and linear, sustained by saline freshness and an elegant, harmonious length, a true reflection of the terroir from which it originates.
Produced in a limited edition of only 2,104 bottles.
