Champagne Jérôme Lefèvre
Rosé Cuvée Playing With Fire II
The Champagne Playing With Fire by Maison Jérôme Lefèvre is a single-parcel Rosé cuvée with a bold and original character, representing the second edition of a project that challenges the classical codes of Champagne. It is crafted from a blend of 90% Meunier from the 2020 harvest and 10% Pinot Noir from the 2023 vintage, sourced from old vines cultivated around Essômes-sur-Marne, in the Vallée de la Marne. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in oak barrels, without the addition of sulfites, and after bottling, the wine is aged for at least 42 months on the lees, with no final dosage (Brut Nature).
On the palate, Playing With Fire II stands out for its vibrant and contemporary expression, which precisely reflects the identity of its terroir. The aromatic profile is marked by intense, ripe fruit, supported by an elegant texture and an exceedingly fine mousse that caresses the palate with both energy and finesse. The Maison’s signature is revealed in a tasteful tension that balances complexity and freshness, making this Champagne profoundly dynamic and distinctive.
This edition is limited to just 1,000 bottles, emphasizing the exclusivity of a cuvée that merges creative vision with artisanal roots.
