Champagne Leclaire-Thiefaine
Cuvée 3 - Constantin 2020
The Champagne Cuvée 3 Constantin by Leclaire-Thiéfaine comes to life in Cramant, a Grand Cru village that stands as a symbol of the Côte des Blancs, where the lieux-dits Les Bonnes and Les Bouves (lieu-dit) safeguard a Chardonnay of rare depth, finesse and crystalline luminosity. It is a Blanc de Blancs born from an artisanal and meticulous vision, able to translate with elegance the chalky vocation of the terroir and the constant pursuit of purity that drives every stage of the work in the vineyard and in the cellar.
This edition, Vintage 2020, involves a vinification and maturation carried out with particular care in fût de chêne for around nine months, in full respect of the wine's natural identity. After the tirage comes a long and patient ageing on the lees for a minimum of 36 months, capable of broadening its complexity, at the end of which the final dosage of 2 g/l, in an Extra Brut style, defines its dry character, chalky tension and natural expressive precision.
On the palate, the Cuvée 3 Constantin 2020 reveals itself as broad and luminous, with an intense, deep nose in which fresh fruit intertwines with delicate toasted notes and an enveloping creamy depth of great mineral finesse. The attack is full and generous, sustained by a vibrant chalky tension and an elegant, well-defined structure that leads into a long, saline, taut and persistent finish, where richness and freshness coexist in perfect and natural harmony. Production in a limited run of 1,523 bottles.
