Sereine
Champagne “La Sereine” by J.M. Goulard is a refined and authentic expression of the Massif de Saint-Thierry, located northwest of Reims. Produced by Damien Goulard, fourth generation of winemakers, this Champagne reflects the family’s commitment to organic viticulture and the enhancement of the terroir.
La Sereine is a balanced blend of 34% Meunier, 33% Pinot Noir, and 33% Chardonnay, grapes sourced from around 50 parcels spread over 8 hectares of vineyards. The soils vary between sand, clay, and chalk, providing the wine with complexity and structure. After pressing, the must is settled for 12 hours and fermented in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation and a minimum ageing on lees of 18 months. The dosage is 7 g/l, giving the wine a balanced Brut profile.
On the nose, Sereine opens with fresh herbal aromas and ripe fruit, with hints of yellow apple and citrus. On the palate, it stands out for its elegance and freshness, with good acidity and a harmonious structure. The presence of Meunier, grown on sandy soils, adds fruity notes and a pleasant softness, while the Pinot Noir and Chardonnaycontribute finesse and minerality.
