The Champagne Cuvée Prestige by Erick Schreiber is the result of the blending of 70% Pinot Noir, 18% Chardonnay and 12% Meunier coming from proprietary vineyards grown in Courteron, Bar-sur-Seine, in the Côte des Bar.Obtained from grapes of a single vintage, it vinifies for about 30% in barrique and the second fermentation is done with the use of the cork instead of the classic crown; dosage within the limits of Brut. The creation of Champagne Cuvée Prestige dates back to the 90s and is the result of several blends of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in search of the perfect balance: it’s expressed with the power and fullness of Pinot Noir, the finesse and elegance of Chardonnay and the roundness of Meunier. Domaine Erick Schreiber respects the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, all of its Champagnes are in fact certified for organic and biodynamic viticulture.Elegant and delicate Champagne, notes of white fruit, fresh almonds and honey stand out on the nose; in the mouth it’s fine and round, with good complexity and persistence.

In the Côte des Bar, in Courteron, lies Domaine Erick Schreiber, a small estate of about six and a half hectares set within an area renowned for its organic vocation. It is led by Erick Schreiber, a winemaker-oenologist and pioneer of biodynamics since 1990, driven by the desire to preserve a sustainable ecosystem and to keep the vineyard in harmony with its natural environment. To him is owed the creation of biodynamic yeast strains now adopted by leading Maisons, the fruit of constant research and of a vision that places respect for nature at the heart of every choice.

The vineyards, certified organic and biodynamic according to the Demeter standard, are cultivated without any synthetic product, on a clay-limestone soil that lends structure and brightness to the wines. Pinot Noir largely dominates the plantings, accompanied by Chardonnay and a refined presence of Pinot Blanc, Meunier and Pinot Gris, for a total production of around twenty-five thousand bottles. The result is authentic Champagnes, fresh and mineral, of notable aromatic complexity, faithfully translating the terroir of origin and the deep bond between the land and those who tend it.
