The Champagne La Closerie Grand Cru by Domaine La Closerie emerges as a rare and visionary project created by Jérôme Prévost, a leading figure among Champagne’s artisanal vignerons. Crafted from a perfectly balanced blend of Chardonnay from Mesnil-sur-Oger and Pinot Noir from Puisieulx, both classified as Grand Cru, it offers a contemporary interpretation of two iconic terroirs, combining chalky elegance, aromatic depth, and a crystalline expression of their distinct pedoclimatic identities.

This 2023 base vintage edition is shaped through a rigorous and natural winemaking process, with spontaneous fermentation and 10 months of maturation in 228-liter barriques, a choice that imparts layered complexity, texture, and a finely sculpted structure. Every stage of production is carried out manually, including the tirage, done without machinery or electricity—an unmistakable sign of the domaine’s radically artisanal philosophy. The final dosage, under 3 g/l in Extra Brut style, enhances tension, freshness, and precision.

On the palate, the La Closerie Grand Cru reveals remarkable, almost Burgundian complexity, with aromas of caramelized apricot, salted hazelnut, curry leaf, gunpowder smoke, and delicate hints of lavender. The palate shows full structure, vibrant energy, impeccable acidic drive, and a long, incisive saline minerality, leaving a deep and memorable impression.

Produced in extremely limited quantities, it stands as one of the purest, most refined, and most captivating expressions of Jérôme Prévost’s craftsmanship.
