The Maison Gosset signs an authentic oenological masterpiece with the limited edition Les Célébrissimes 1995, a new expression of the prestigious CELEBRIS collection. This vintage Champagne, aged for over 20 years, represents a surprising gustatory journey that reveals the remarkable ageing potential of a great wine. After spending nearly a decade on the lees, the bottles were granted an additional period of rest post-disgorgement, benefiting from the silence and depth of the Maison’s cellars, more than 18 meters underground. The first phase imparted harmony and complexity to the bouquet, while the second, under cork closure, reinforced structure and character.
On the palate, Les Célébrissimes 1995 reveals an extraordinarily evolved and luminous profile. The nose opens with notes of pineapple, mango, and rhubarb, leading to a sip of rare depth, where salinity emerges with precision. The mineral framework, still vibrant, unfolds gracefully, while the ripe fruit gains complexity with nuances of anise and a delicately acidic finish. The effervescence, now softened, gives way to a pure expression of the wine, in perfect balance between fruit, freshness, and maturity, as only the greatest Champagnes can deliver.
This cuvée celebrates the 1995 vintage, marked by freshness and aromatic complexity, enhanced by the finesse of Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and the structure of Pinot Noir grown on clay-limestone soils. The elegant bottle, screen-printed in gold and red, frames with modernity and grace a wine that is a true tribute to time. Produced in only 1,000 bottles, Les Célébrissimes 1995 embodies a philosophy that merges maturity and innovation, in one of the most iconic interpretations from Maison Gosset.
