The Champagne Cuvée Hemera 2013 by Henriot pays tribute to the six historic crus that have accompanied the Maison since the 19th century, bringing together the depth of the Montagne de Reims and the finesse of the Côte des Blancs. Verzy, Verzenay and Mailly-Champagne interact with Avize, Chouilly and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in an assemblage made exclusively from Grands Crus, selected to represent the most authentic memory of Henriot and the continuity of a history that began in 1808 with Apolline Henriot.

This edition, Millésime 2013, is made from an assemblage in equal parts of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. The vintage, one of the coldest and rainiest of the recent period in Champagne, required patience and precision, with a late harvest in October after a season marked by strong climatic contrasts. After tirage, the wine ages on the lees for over 10 years, while the final dosage of 3.5 g/l, in Extra Brut style, enhances energy, depth and tension without weighing down the overall balance.

In tasting, Cuvée Hemera 2013 reveals a chiselled, vibrant and highly defined profile. The nose recalls fresh and candied citrus fruit, lemon zest, chalky minerality and a subtle smoky note, followed by nuances of dried fruit and toasted bread with aeration. On the palate, it shows mouth-watering freshness, a structured texture and precise progression, with a long, rigorous and persistent finish supported by mineral tension that amplifies its sense of elegance.
