The Champagne Salon 2015 marks the forty-fifth vintage of the Maison, a return to its origins and founding principles. This vintage takes us back to 1905, when the visionary Aimé Salon created his first masterpiece: a Blanc de BlancsChampagne from a single Grand Cru, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger; from a single grape variety, Chardonnay; and from a single harvest, produced exclusively in the most exceptional years. Initially crafted for the personal enjoyment of its creator and close friends, it soon became the best-kept secret and the coveted desire of the most discerning connoisseurs of the Roaring Twenties.

The 2015 vintage began with a mild, rainy autumn, followed by a winter without significant frost. A wet spring encouraged early budburst, starting on 14 April. From mid-May, three months of dry, sunny weather accompanied the vines’ growth, with Chardonnay flowering on 11 June. By early August, veraison was already underway and, thanks to welcome showers and cooler temperatures, ripening was completed in perfect balance. Harvest began on 8 September under radiant sunshine. The summer of 2015 set historic records for both sunlight and drought, yielding perfectly ripe grapes of extraordinary quality.

On the palate, Salon 2015 reveals a brilliant golden hue with green and silvery highlights. The ultra-fine mousse releases a precise, delicate bouquet of white flowers, linden and honeysuckle, underscored by a persistent chalky imprint. The palate is generous and vibrant, with saline freshness entwined with brightness – a pure expression of its terroir. Intense and finely structured, it offers a rare harmony of depth and finesse, each sip telling the story of an exceptional place and a singular year.
