Lieu-Dit "Le Mont des Chrétiens" 2022
The Champagne Le Mont des Chrétiens by Frédéric Savart gives voice to a rare Blanc de Blancs from the Petite Montagne, a land where Pinot Noir reigns supreme and Chardonnay becomes an exception full of charm. The grapes come from an extraordinary lieu-dit located near the Premier Cru village of Écueil and farmed according to organic principles, for a wine that expresses with elegance and power the luminous identity of its own terroir, conveyed with the precision of a vigneron faithful to the character of every single parcel of this cru.
This edition, Vintage 2022, takes shape through a vinification and maturation carried out in 500-litre fût de chêne, able to lend the wine breadth, texture and complexity with full respect for the raw material. After tirage comes an ageing on the lees for a minimum of 36 months, which enriches its weave and depth, while the final dosage of 3.5 g/l, in an Extra Brut style, defines its balance and heightens its freshness and vibrant mineral tension.
On tasting, Le Mont des Chrétiens 2022 appears luminous, crystalline and inviting, with a rich aromatic range that weaves together ripe citrus, white flowers and pale-fleshed white fruit, enriched by delicate hints of almond and hazelnut and by a fine chalky, mineral breath. On the palate it shows a character that is broad and at the same time taut, where the full structure and vibrant freshness guide a long, saline and persistent finish, of rare energy, precision and expressive elegance. Production in a limited run of 2,792 bottles.
