Éxlusiv't Magnum
The Champagne Éxlusiv’T by Éric Taillet is born from a rigorous and deeply terroir-driven interpretation of Meunier, the emblematic grape variety of the Vallée de la Marne, here expressed through old vines over 45 years of age located in the village of Basileux-sous-Châtillon. On these clay-limestone soils, well-rooted and naturally balanced vines yield grapes of remarkable concentration and expressive precision. Éxlusiv’T stands as an identity-driven cuvée, conceived to convey—without mediation—the true character of the grape variety and its place of origin.
This edition is based on the 2020 base vintage, complemented by 30% perpetual reserve, a component that adds depth and stylistic continuity to the wine. Vinified exclusively in stainless steel, a choice aimed at preserving aromatic purity and expressive tension, the wine then undergoes lees ageing for a minimum of 24 months after bottling, a crucial phase in building balance and overall structure. The final dosage is restrained, at 2.5 g/l, in keeping with a precise and measured style.
On tasting, Éxlusiv’T reveals a clean and coherent profile, marked by notes of ripe fruit, floral nuances, and mineral accents. On the palate, the attack is taut and dynamic, supported by a fine texture and well-integrated freshness. The structure is well balanced, with a progressive persistence leading to a dry, harmonious finish—an expression of balance built on precision rather than power.
