Bansionensi 2022
The Champagne Bansionensi by Éric Taillet comes from a rigorous and deeply terroir-driven reading of Meunier, the emblematic variety of the Vallée de la Marne, here expressed through two historic lieux-dits, Les Pierreuses and La Brusse. These plots are home to old, deep-rooted and naturally balanced vines, which yield grapes of great concentration and expressive precision. Bansionensi is a cuvée with a strong identity, designed to convey the character of Meunier and its place of origin without filters.
This edition, Vintage 2022, begins with a traditional pressing in a wooden press, followed by 9 months of maturation in barrels and temperature-controlled vats, a choice that gently supports the development of its aromatic and structural profile. After tirage, the wine ages on its lees for at least 36 months, a key element in shaping its overall balance. The final dosage of 2.5 g/l, in Extra Brut style, preserves its clarity and tension.
On tasting, Bansionensi 2022 shows a fine and precise nose, where notes of ripe cherry emerge alongside delicate herbal hints and fresh mint. On the palate the structure is velvety and elegant, supported by a lively freshness that carries the wine towards a long and persistent finish. It leaves a subtle, measured impression that stays true to the producer's style.
