Champagne Denis Salomon
Vitalie 2018
The Champagne Vitalie by Denis Salomon was created as a family tribute, dedicated to Vitalie, daughter of Nicolas Salomon, and represents an authentic expression of the Vallée de la Marne, between Vandières and Verneuil. This Millésime 2018 cuvée consistently interprets the generosity of the vintage through an equal-parts blend of Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, selected from parcels capable of delivering balance and a clear sense of place.
This edition, Millésime 2018, is vinified entirely in oak barrels, without any filtration process, a choice that preserves both integrity and texture. Malolactic fermentation is not induced, in order to maintain the wine’s original freshness and enhance its natural tension. After tirage, the ageing continues for a minimum of five years on the lees, building depth and cohesion. The dosage of 2 g/l places the cuvée in the Extra Brut style, highlighting its precise and dry identity.
On the nose, Vitalie 2018 opens with notes of ripe fruit, citrus peel and subtle woody nuances, forming a layered and refined aromatic profile. On the palate, finesse, tension and depth emerge, supported by a well-calibrated structure that enhances precision and balance. The finish is clean and vibrant, with an enveloping close that reflects a finely sculpted balance between substance and freshness.
Produced in a limited and numbered edition of 629 bottles, it precisely expresses the vigneron’s artisanal sensitivity and his deep connection to the terroir.
