Champagne De Sousa
RĂ©serve Magnum
The Champagne RĂ©serve by De Sousa is a Blanc de Blancs crafted from 100% Chardonnay, sourced exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards in the prestigious villages of the CĂ´te des Blancs: Avize, Cramant, Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, and Chouilly. The vines, cultivated according to organic and biodynamic principles, have an average age of over 40 years and are rooted in chalky soils of exceptional quality.
Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks to preserve the varietal purity. A significant proportion of vin de réserve (at least 30%) ensures stylistic consistency and adds complexity to the cuvée, which is the result of blending two or three different vintages. After tirage, the wine matures on its lees for around 24 months. The final dosage, in Extra Brut style, maintains the mineral tension and freshness, while also enhancing the wine’s creamy texture.
On the palate, RĂ©serve opens with elegant aromas of white flowers, pear, white peach, and candied lemon, enriched by notes of brioche, hazelnut, and delicate toasted nuances. The palate is creamy, supported by a vibrant minerality and fine bubbles, leading to a long, saline finish with remarkable aromatic precision.
