The Champagne Absolument Brut by Corbon shows the style of this small Avize estate in its most essential form, a wine that forgoes any correction to let only the grapes, the terroir and the time spent in the cellar speak. The blend brings together the chalky finesse of the Côte des Blancs Grand Crus and the generosity of the vineyards in the Vallée de la Marne, farmed without herbicides or pesticides and with a craft-driven outlook that in recent years has made the Domaine's profile ever more precise and sculpted.

This edition, based on the 2019 harvest, brings together 50% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Noir and 25% Meunier grapes, enriched with vin de réserve and a small share of réserve perpétuelle, with vinification and maturation carried out partly in oak barrels and partly in stainless steel, without filtration or fining. After tirage comes ageing on the lees of around five years, at the end of which dégorgement takes place with no final dosage, in Brut Nature style, to present the wine in its most authentic guise.

On tasting, Absolument Brut opens with a fine, lively and persistent perlage and a taut, luminous nose, where citrus, green apple and pear combine with nuances of white flowers, a hint of toasted bread and a clear chalky imprint. On the palate the attack is dry and direct, with a full yet slender texture, supported by vibrant acidity and marked salinity that carry the development towards a long, clean and refreshing finish of great mineral persistence.
