Le Blanc de Blancs
The Champagne Le Blanc de Blancs by Billecart-Salmon is crafted entirely from Chardonnay grapes, sourced from four prestigious Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs: Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, and Mesnil-sur-Oger. This cuvée expresses with purity all the distinctive characteristics of the varietal, revealing elegance, intensity, and the remarkable minerality that defines this exceptional terroir.
This edition is based on the 2018 vintage, enriched with 37% reserve wines. Vinification follows the rigorous principles of the Billecart-Salmon Maison, with fermentation in stainless steel to preserve freshness and fragrance. After tirage, the wine matures on its own lees for at least 4 years, developing complexity, structure, and depth. The dosage, at 3.9 g/l, places this cuvée in the Extra Brut style, enhancing its marked vinosity and the authenticity of a taut and elegant profile.
On the palate, Le Blanc de Blancs stands out for its very fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet reveals aromas of citrus, white flowers, fresh almond, and delicate notes of bread crust. The taste offers complexity and harmony, with a surprisingly fresh finish, highly appreciated by the most discerning connoisseurs, who recognize its finesse, persistence, and distinguished character.
