Champagne Benoît Lahaye
Blanc de Noirs
The Champagne Blanc de Noir by Benoît Lahaye is an emblematic cuvée of the territorial identity of the Montagne de Reims, made from 100% Pinot Noir sourced mainly from two Lieux-Dits: "Vaux-Bétins" and "Les Risets Tortues", both located in Bouzy, a Grand Cru village that lies at the very heart of the Domaine. The vines, cultivated according to strictly natural principles, are rooted in chalk and clay soils, which lend the wine both structure and depth.
Vinification takes place in used barrels, with spontaneous fermentations and no filtration, reflecting Lahaye’s artisan, non-interventionist philosophy. After tirage, the wine ages on its lees for at least 24 months, developing both complexity and natural elegance. The final dosage is minimal, in Extra Brut style, to highlight the purity of the fruit and the tension of the terroir.
On the palate, this Blanc de Noirs reveals a dense and vibrant profile: crisp red fruits, hints of sweet spices and undergrowth, all underpinned by a mineral framework that supports a precise yet finely balanced mouthfeel. A sincere and authentic expression, perfectly embodying the agricultural and stylistic sensibility of Benoît Lahaye.
