Mongamin
The Champagne Mongamin by Assailly is a Blanc de Blancs made from 100% Chardonnay, sourced exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards in the village of Avize, in the heart of the renowned Côte des Blancs. This cuvée was created in 1938 as a gesture of love by the founder Maurice Assailly, who dedicated it to his son, preserving over time the family's deep-rooted winemaking tradition.
The vinification approach reflects a profound respect for the artisanal heritage of the Domaine: every step is aimed at preserving the varietal identity and the elegance of the terroir, without yielding to trends. The production, extremely limited to around 600 bottles per year, highlights the exclusive nature of this Champagne and the unwavering commitment to quality.
On the palate, Mongamin stands out for its finesse and verticality, with chalky notes, ripe citrus, and a hint of pastry enriching its aromatic profile. The taste is vibrant and finely chiselled, clearly expressing the minerality typical of Avize and the depth of a wine crafted in loyalty to memory and place.
