Champagne William Saintot
Roseraie
The Champagne Roseraie by William Saintot originates from Premier Cru vineyards in Bisseuil, Mutigny and Avenay-Val-d’Or, from parcels around 40 years old rooted in clay-limestone soils, where the vines contribute to shaping an authentic, well-defined profile consistent with the character of the terroir. It is a Rosé that precisely expresses the identity of the Grande Vallée de la Marne, highlighting the role of Pinot Noir, which brings structure, intensity and depth.
This edition, 2022 harvest, is based on a blend of 91% Pinot Noir and 9% Meunier, where a maceration of around 6 hours involving 28% of the mass contributes to defining both color and structure with greater depth. Vinification and fermentation take place partly in oak barrels (55%) and partly in stainless steel (45%), with partially completed malolactic fermentation and no filtration, preserving integrity and precision, while after tirage the wine ages on the lees for 30 months. The final dosage of 2 g/l, in Extra Brut style, supports the wine’s profile, maintaining balance, tension and coherence.
On the palate, Roseraie shows a pale pink color and an expressive aromatic profile marked by notes of ripe red fruits and delicate floral hints. It reveals a solid and well-defined structure, supported by lively freshness that carries through the tasting experience with continuity, leading to a clean, dynamic and harmonious finish that highlights balance, personality and a pleasant tension.
