Cuvée du Clos Notre Dame 2014
The Champagne Cuvée du Clos Notre Dame 2014 represents the pinnacle of Veuve Fourny & Fils’ savoir-faire, crafted from a Clos of just 0.29 hectares in the Premier Cru of Vertus. Farmed organically on chalky soils and east-facing slopes, this old vineyard of over 60 years yields a rare cuvée, a true emblem of authenticity and finesse.
The 2014 vintage, marked by balance and freshness, enabled meticulous vinification in oak barrels, with no malolactic fermentation. This was followed by a long nine-year ageing on the lees, before disgorgement with a low dosage of 3 g/l, offering a pure and essential interpretation of Chardonnay in an Extra Brut style.
On the palate, Cuvée du Clos Notre Dame 2014 reveals intensity and elegance: aromas of white flowers, candied citrus, dried fruit and mineral nuances lead into a deep, saline and vibrant profile, with a creamy, persistent texture. A rare cuvée, produced in just 2,440 bottles, and among the most exclusive in the Côte des Blancs.
