Champagne Vazart-Coquart
TC 2017
The Champagne TC by Vazart-Coquart is born in the heart of Chouilly, a prestigious Grand Cru of the CĂ´te des Blancs, from a single parcel: Les Aventures. Here, Chardonnay vines over forty years old reveal the fullness and depth of a terroir that combines tension and generosity in a balance of rare purity.
The 2017 vintage was vinified in an ovoid terracotta vat, hence the name TC – Terre Cuite. This noble, porous vessel allows for a gentle exchange between the wine and air, enhancing texture and roundness without concealing the fruit’s freshness. Malolactic fermentation is not carried out, and ageing takes place under cork, followed by dégorgement à la volée and a final dosage below 1.5 g/l – Extra Brut – in perfect harmony with the Domaine’s essential elegance.
On the palate, TC 2017 is luminous and dense, with golden highlights and a fine, persistent mousse. The bouquet opens with notes of candied citrus, flint, and acacia honey, followed by hints of dried fruit and sweet spice. The mouthfeel is broad and vibrant, with a creamy texture sustained by a mineral backbone that stretches into a deep, saline finish. Produced in a limited and numbered edition.
