The Champagne Réserve by Vazart-Coquart represents the purest expression of the Chouilly terroir, a prestigious Grand Cru village in the Côte des Blancs. This Blanc de Blancs perfectly embodies the Domaine’s distinctive style, renowned for its finesse, delicacy, and elegance. It is made exclusively from Chardonnay grown on 11 hectares of vineyards planted in craie à Bélemnite soils—ideal for this varietal. The vines, averaging 45 years of age, yield grapes of remarkable purity and complexity, reflecting an exceptional terroir.
The blend includes 33% Réserve Perpétuelle, initiated in 1982 and renewed annually by 40%, using only the finest Chardonnay cuvées. Vinification in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats preserves the freshness and aromatic clarity of the fruit. After tirage, the wine matures on lees for a minimum of 24 months, achieving a perfect balance between tension and harmony. The final dosage of 4.5 g/l enhances its precision and refined character.
On the palate, Réserve displays a bright golden hue and a fine, persistent mousse. The bouquet is elegant and pure, revealing notes of citrus, white flowers, and almond, enriched by delicate hints of pastry and noble lees. The palate is soft, harmonious, and enveloping, marked by a vibrant minerality that leads to a long, subtle, and saline finish.
