Champagne Vazart-Coquart
TC 2016
The Champagne TC by Vazart-Coquart is born in the heart of Chouilly, a prestigious Grand Cru of the CĂ´te des Blancs, from a single parcel: Les Aventures. Here, Chardonnay vines over forty years old reveal the fullness and depth of a terroir that unites tension and generosity in a balance of rare purity.
The 2016 vintage was vinified in an ovoid terracotta vat, hence the name TC – Terre Cuite. This noble, porous vessel allows a gentle dialogue between the wine and the air, enhancing texture and roundness without concealing the fruit’s freshness. Malolactic fermentation is not carried out, and ageing takes place under cork, followed by dégorgement à la volée and a final dosage below 2 g/l – Extra Brut – in perfect harmony with the Domaine’s essential elegance.
On the palate, TC 2016 is luminous, with golden reflections and a fine, delicate mousse. The bouquet reveals notes of ripe citrus, light honey, and wet stone, followed by hints of hazelnut and brioche. The mouthfeel is broad and pure, with a creamy yet taut texture sustained by vibrant mineral freshness. The long, saline finish expresses the authentic essence of Chouilly Chardonnay. Produced in a limited edition of only 947 bottles.
