The Champagne BAM! was conceived as an identity-driven, unconventional project within the historic Tarlant family, a benchmark in Œuilly in the Vallée de la Marne for an artisanal approach to viticulture that respects time and the memory of the vineyard. BAM! is a cuvée that exclusively showcases the Cépages Oubliés, historic grape varieties now nearly extinct in Champagne, interpreted with rigor and stylistic consistency to deliver an authentic, vertical, and deeply terroir-driven expression.

This edition takes shape from the 2012 base vintage, complemented by a significant proportion of perpetual reserve, a choice that decisively enhances both depth and expressive continuity. The blend brings together Pinot Blanc (27%), Arbane (27%), and Petit Meslier (46%), three Cépages Oubliés grown on sandy and calcareous soils in the lieu-dit “Four à Chaux-Sables”, and vinified according to a measured, respectful, non-interventionist approach. Extended ageing on the lees for more than 10 years, combined with the absence of dosage (Brut Nature), defines an essential, vertical profile built on tension, precision, and absolute expressive transparency.

In tasting, BAM! stands out for its bright, incisive character, where notes of citrus, white flowers, fine herbs, and mineral nuances intertwine with natural precision. On the palate, it reveals a sharply etched texture, supported by vibrant acidity and a slender yet profound structure, unfolding with coherence and without any loss of energy. The finish is long, dry, and saline, while the overall balance faithfully reflects the identity of the grape varieties and the maturity brought by time, confirming BAM! as one of the most radical and self-aware expressions of the Tarlant family.
