L'Étincelante Millésime 2002
The Champagne L'Étincelante Millésime 2002 by Tarlant is a blend of 57% Chardonnay, 29% Pinot Noir and 14% Meunier. Each year, Bênoit and Mélanie Tarlant make a single "multi-parcel" wine to encapsulate that particular vintage: L'Étincelante is a tribute to the sunny 2002 harvest, a perfect year. Grapes were harvested from six plots - with vines on average 40 years old - in four different villages on different terroirs. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in Burgundy barrels and maturation on its own yeasts for over 15 years. No final dosage - making it a Brut Nature - for this extraordinary and decisive Champagne Millésime 2002.
