The Champagne La Barbette by Sacy Soeur & Frère comes from a single parcel in the Lieu-Dit “Les Champs Saint-Rémy”, near the Grand Cru village of Verzy, one of the benchmark areas of the Montagne de Reims for the elegance and character of Pinot Noir. This Blanc de Noirs reveals the most tension-driven and mineral side of the village through an artisanal approach focused on authenticity and respect for origin. La Barbette expresses an intense and vertical identity, deeply connected to the chalky landscape of Verzy.

This edition, 2022 harvest, is crafted from Pinot Noir vinified with spontaneous fermentation followed by maturation in fût de chêne, without fining or filtration, in order to preserve the wine’s natural energy and purity. After tirage, the wine ages on the lees for more than 30 months, an essential stage in building depth and aromatic complexity. Without final dosage, in Brut Nature style, La Barbette offers a precise and contemporary interpretation of the terroir, driven by balance, clarity, and remarkable transparency on the palate.

In tasting, La Barbette stands out for its elegant bouquet of red currants, citrus peel, delicate spices, and lightly toasted nuances, accompanied by hints of flint and fresh hazelnut. On the palate, it reveals a broad yet dynamic structure, carried by vibrant freshness and a saline texture that leads into a long, dry, and deeply mineral finish. A parcellaire Champagne with strong personality, combining finesse, tension, and expressive energy.
