Produced only in exceptional years, the Grand Vintages of the Maison represents the Champagne greatness. Every Grand Vintage Rosé is unique, a wisely aged Champagne, expressing the Chef de Cave's freedom in expressing his know-how and experience to create a mature and inimitable wine. Time helps this wine over 6 years in the cave, with a stable temperature, protected from the sun-rays and the cold streams.
The Grand Vintage 2015 by Moët & Chandon is the 45th example Rosé of this range since the Maison's foundation in 1743, resulting from the caseful blending of 27% Chardonnay, 21%, Meunier, 38% Pinot Noir and 14% Vin Rouge, resting on its yeats for over 6 years and reaching a final dosage of only 5 g/l - making it an Extra Brut.
The Grand Vintage Rosé 2015 by Moët & Chandon has a black and spicy bouquet, with initial aromas of black fruits. Hints of fig and wild strawberry combine with spicy notes of aromatic pink pepper and spices, as well as aromas of flowery Mediterranean bush. To the palate it is powerful and multifaceted, the fruit is concentrated, dark and deep. The tannins create angles, revealing facets similar to those of a raw gem. The finish is refreshed by the mouth-watering tartness of sloes and cranberries with hints of mint and anise.
