Blanc 2022
The Coteaux Champenois Blanc by Minière F&R is the Domaine first still white expression, a tranquil wine crafted from 100% Meunier grapes vinified in white, a rare and fascinating choice that brings out the varietal finesse away from the bubbles. The grapes come from the lieu-dit Les Fauvagnes, from old vines planted by mass selection on a sandy-loam terroir that gives the wine drive, aromatic definition and a luminous freshness, the authentic expression of a lesser-known facet of the Hermonville territory.
This edition, from the 2022 harvest, reflects a sunny and generous year that gave Meunier ripeness and depth while preserving its natural vivacity. Vinification and maturation take place in fûts de chêne for 24 months, with natural fermentation by indigenous yeasts only and without filtration, an artisanal choice that safeguards the integrity and identity of the fruit.
On tasting, it shows a bright straw yellow colour. The nose offers notes of white-fleshed fruit, yellow flowers and delicate pastry hints, intertwined with subtle spicy nuances from the wood. On the palate it is taut and enveloping at the same time, with a vibrant texture sustained by a savoury minerality, leading to a long and persistent finish marked by great varietal precision.
