Champagne Laurent-Perrier
Millésime Magnum 2015
The Champagne Millésime by Laurent-Perrier comes from a demanding choice, that of declaring the year only when the season offers a harvest able to enter the memory of the Maison. From Tours-sur-Marne takes shape a vision that joins the luminous chalk from the Côte des Blancs to the sunny slopes from the Montagne de Reims, two landscapes that give the wine mineral tension and deep elegance. It is a philosophy of patience and selection, in which every vintage becomes the faithful portrait of a single year and of its unrepeatable identity.
This edition, Vintage 2015, brings together 50% Chardonnay grapes from the Côte des Blancs and 50% Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims, all coming from villages classified Grand Cru, respectively Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize, Cramant and Chouilly for the first and Verzy, Louvois, Aÿ, Tours-sur-Marne and Ambonnay for the second. Vinification and maturation take place in stainless steel tanks, so as to preserve the purity of each terroir and the freshness that signs the style of the Maison. After tirage comes seven years of ageing on the lees, able to give breadth and aromatic complexity.
On tasting, it shows a brilliant white gold hue and a fine, persistent perlage. The nose offers a complex and rich bouquet, with notes of beeswax, candied lemon, honeysuckle and hawthorn, followed by elegant hints of toasted bread and orange. On the palate the attack is lively and opens onto a creamy and elegant profile, with lasting notes of candied lemon and honeysuckle that wrap the senses, giving the finish an extraordinary freshness and elegance.
