Les Bouquets Millésime 2013
The Champagne Les Bouquet Millésime by Hugues Godmé is born from a blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir, sourced exclusively from the prestigious Grand Cru villages of Verzy and Verzenay, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. A single harvest gives rise to this cuvée, the authentic and vintage-dated expression of a year able to combine tension, precision and ripeness.
This edition, Vintage 2013, follows in its winemaking a craft-driven approach that favours the integrity of the raw material, with 40% of the wine fermenting and ageing in fût de chêne, without fining or filtration. A long ageing on the lees of over 10 years and the absence of final dosage (Brut Nature) contribute to a pure and rigorous profile, faithful to the character of the terroir and to the balance between the two varieties.
On the palate, Les Bouquet Millésime 2013 reveals a predominance of Chardonnay, which expresses itself with elegance and crystalline freshness. The Pinot Noir comes into play with a fruity orchestration of measured liveliness, able to awaken the palate with controlled energy. It is all harmonised by a creamy roundness and a clear gustatory finesse, which give the wine a limpid and satisfying persistence. An authentic pleasure, to be savoured in the most meaningful moments.
