Champagne Hugues Godmé
Le Blanc de Blancs
The Champagne Le Blanc de Blancs by Hugues Godmé is born entirely from Chardonnay grown in the Premier Cru terroirs of Verzenay, Verzy, Villedommange and Villers-Marmery, on the Montagne de Reims, where the chalky and clay-limestone soils imprint on the wine a marked mineral tension and a verticality that defines its identity. It is an expression that conveys the mark of a biodynamic approach attentive to the natural balance of the soil, able to reveal with luminous clarity the finesse of this variety in its most chiselled register.
This edition includes a generous share of vin de réserve, amounting to 60%, and is vinified without any fining or filtration, in an approach that preserves the transparency and authenticity of the fruit. After tirage comes an ageing on its own lees for around 36 months, at the end of which no final dosage is added, in a Brut Nature style, a choice that gives full voice to the varietal purity and to the depth of the terroir.
On the palate, Le Blanc de Blancs stands out for its fresh and chiselled profile, where hints of white fruit intertwine with delicate floral nuances in a whole of great precision. The palate is led by a mineral tension that drives a taut and vibrant sip, sustained by a very fine bubble and a silky texture that brings breadth without weighing it down, closing on a saline and persistent finish that confirms the elegance and expressive coherence of this cuvée.
