Champagne Gilbert Leseurre

Millésime 2016

Champagne Millésime 2016 by Gilbert Leseurre is a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir from old vines aged 35-40 years from estate vineyards in the Aube. Produced from the best grapes harvested from a single harvest, that of 2016, this Millésime reflects the authenticity of the Aube terroir and its particular clay-limestone composition. Vinified in steel, after bottling it is aged in the Domaine cellars for at least 3 years. Gastronomic Champagne with body and depth masterfully played on exotic notes of litchis and pineapple and biscuity nuances. Dosage within the limits of Extra-Brut (3.5 g/l).

In Arrentières, a small town in the Aube, stands the Domaine Gilbert Leseurre, managed by Gilbert, the fourth generation of the family, who has been producing Champagne under his own name since 1979. Gilbert owns 7ha of vineyards divided into 17 parcels in the Municipalities of Arrenitères, Colombé-le-Sec, Voigny and Rouvres-les-Vignes, distinguished between Pinot Noir (80%), Meunier (10%) and Chardonnay (10%).

This particular subdivision of the vineyard is an advantage for the Domaine, which thus enjoys the different specificities of the terroir, benefiting from the peculiar compositions of the soil and the different exposures to the sun; characteristics that are reflected in the organoleptic profiles of its Cuvées. Production is only 30,000 bottles. Since 2016, Gilbert has embarked on the path of wine tourism, creating two luxury accommodations in the heart of the vineyard.
