Champagne Gamet
Rocherets 2019
Champagne Rocherets 2019 by Gamet is a single-vineyard cuvée that highlights the distinctive identity of the lieu-ditRocherets, located on the rive gauche in Mardeuil, in the Vallée de la Marne. Harvested in 2019, it is made from 100% Meunier and produced in just 1,627 bottles, reflecting a precise and artisanal approach focused on enhancing the terroir.
Vinification and ageing take place in tonneaux, with fermentation initiated by indigenous yeasts selected directly from the vineyard. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matures for 10 months on fine lees, developing structure and complexity. This is followed by 3 years of bottle ageing on the lees, refining the wine’s elegance. A low dosage of 5 g/l – Extra Brut preserves the expressive purity of the variety.
On the nose, Rocherets 2019 stands out with notes of dried fruit, yellow flowers, delicate spices, and light oxidative nuances. On the palate, it is full and dynamic, with a creamy texture, well-integrated freshness, and a long, savory finish, marked by a subtle chalky minerality. A cuvée that reveals Meunier from a lesser-known but highly captivating perspective, through the rigorous and sensitive approach of Domaine Gamet.
