Champagne Gamet
Nombrillères 2020
The Champagne Nombrillères 2020 by Gamet is a parcel-based Blanc de Blancs that expresses with rare precision the identity of a single lieu-dit planted in 1987 and 2006 on clay-limestone soils located on the Rive Droite in Mardeuil, in the Vallée de la Marne. This cuvée comes from a single vintage and a single grape variety, Chardonnay, interpreted with artisanal sensitivity and a deeply territorial vision, in line with the Domaine’s philosophy of highlighting the singularity of its parcels.
Vinification and maturation take place over 10 months in tonneaux, with spontaneous fermentations carried out by indigenous yeasts, allowing the wine to gain structure and complexity without losing finesse. After bottling, the wine ages for 48 months on the lees, developing depth, balance, and a finely layered aromatic profile. The minimal dosage of 1 g/l, in an Extra Brut style, preserves transparency, verticality, and expressive precision.
On the palate, Nombrillères 2020 is pure and vibrant, offering notes of ripe citrus, white flowers, and chalky undertones that evoke its terroir. The palate shows mineral tension, a balance between creaminess and drive, and a fine texture supported by incisive freshness. The finish is long and saline, with a clean conclusion that faithfully reflects the personality of the lieu-dit and the artisanal touch of the Gamet family.
