Born from the desire to create a “pur cépage blanc” from the Côte des Bar terroir, Champagne Minéral Blanc de Blancs M.K. 157-19 by Erik Schreiber elegantly expresses all the finesse of Chardonnay, cultivated on Kimméridgiensoil. This unique terroir imparts extraordinary minerality, freshness, and a hint of gourmandise, a distinctive characteristic of Erik Schreiber’s cuvées. The blend consists of 73.50% Chardonnay and 26.50% Pinot Gris, grapes from the 2019 vintage. During vinification, 73% of the wine undergoes aging in fût de chêne, enhancing its complexity and harmony, with a final dosage of less than 3 g/l.

A Blanc de Blancs Champagne for tasting and contemplation, it is aimed at enthusiasts seeking an authentic and refined experience. On the palate, it stands out for its toasty character, with delicate notes of fresh almonds and white fruits. Its complex structure and long finish make it a wine of strong personality and perfect balance. The product is a limited and numbered edition, with only 996 bottles produced.

In the Côte des Bar, in Courteron, lies Domaine Erick Schreiber, a small estate of about six and a half hectares set within an area renowned for its organic vocation. It is led by Erick Schreiber, a winemaker-oenologist and pioneer of biodynamics since 1990, driven by the desire to preserve a sustainable ecosystem and to keep the vineyard in harmony with its natural environment. To him is owed the creation of biodynamic yeast strains now adopted by leading Maisons, the fruit of constant research and of a vision that places respect for nature at the heart of every choice.

The vineyards, certified organic and biodynamic according to the Demeter standard, are cultivated without any synthetic product, on a clay-limestone soil that lends structure and brightness to the wines. Pinot Noir largely dominates the plantings, accompanied by Chardonnay and a refined presence of Pinot Blanc, Meunier and Pinot Gris, for a total production of around twenty-five thousand bottles. The result is authentic Champagnes, fresh and mineral, of notable aromatic complexity, faithfully translating the terroir of origin and the deep bond between the land and those who tend it.
