Le Petit Val Pallas 2022
The Coteaux Champenois Le Petit Val Pallas from Domaine Doussot-Bourdot comes from the area of Loches-sur-Ource, in the Côte des Bar, from a single parcel identified as (lieu-dit) “Le Petit Val Pallas”. Vines around 50 years old, rooted in Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils and facing southwest, give rise to a still Pinot Noir that precisely reflects the purest identity of this southern part of Champagne.
This edition, 2022 harvest, is crafted through vinification and fermentation with a 12-day maceration, followed by maturation in barrel for 20 months, without fining or filtration in order to preserve the wine’s authenticity and integrity. The result is a Coteaux Champenois that emphasizes expressive clarity and a faithful reading of the terroir, with a restrained and low-intervention approach.
On the palate, Le Petit Val Pallas reveals an elegant and tense profile, with notes of red fruits, earthy nuances and mineral hints. The structure is refined, supported by delicate tannins and a vibrant freshness that leads to a long and precise finish. Production in a limited run of 1,216 bottles.
