Champagne Doussot-Bourdot
Les Destins Liés
The Champagne Les Destins Liés from Domaine Doussot-Bourdot is a cuvée d’assemblage composed in equal parts of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, grown in a single plot, the Lieu-Dit "Les Moulins", renamed with its current name to evoke the deep duality and the indissoluble bond between the two cépages. The vines, with an average age of 20 years and a south-west exposure, take root in a soil of clay and Kimmeridgian limestone, typical of the Côte des Bar and remarkably suited to finesse.
The base vintage is 2021, a year that expresses itself with energy and definition. Vinification takes place without any invasive intervention: spontaneous fermentations, no filtration or cold stabilization. The entire élevage process takes place in fût de chêne for 10 months, resulting in a rich, multi-layered, and deeply expressive material. Tirage with cork closure and the subsequent extended ageing on the lees, with no final dosage (0 g/l – Brut Nature), emphasize the raw and vibrant identity of the wine.
On tasting, Les Destins Liés reveals great aromatic precision: notes of ripe citrus, dried fruit, sweet spices, and flintintertwine in a tense and dynamic structure. On the palate, it is saline, marked by a fresh and mineral texture, with a persistent and luminous finish. A sincere and refined expression of the terroir, released in a limited edition of just 1,850 bottles.
