The Champagne Chemin de Châlons by Domaine La Rogerie expresses with great elegance the Chardonnay of the Côte des Blancs, taking shape from two historic parcels located in the Grand Cru villages of Avize and Cramant, planted respectively in 1959 and 1937. The soils, marked by a combination of clay, silica and weathered chalk, give the wine a distinctive mineral structure, able to bring together depth, tension and expressive precision.

This edition, from the 2022 harvest completed by vin de réserve of the 2021 and 2020 years, is vinified with spontaneous fermentations from indigenous yeasts and matured in 228-litre oak barrels of 2–5 years, a choice that carries the wine towards greater complexity and depth without compromising its balance, while after tirage it undergoes an ageing on the lees of at least 30 months that amplifies its finesse and articulation. No final dosage, in Brut Nature style, in order to preserve an essential, pure and well-calibrated style.

On tasting, Chemin de Châlons stands out for an elegant and precise profile, with refined aromas and a fine, saline mineral texture. On the palate the mousse is velvety and enveloping, supported by a vibrant acidity and by perfectly integrated citrus notes, while waxy nuances and a delicate concentration accompany a long, harmonious finish of great finesse. Production in a limited and individually numbered run.
