The Champagne Bourg/Sud by Domaine La Rogerie interprets with finesse the Chardonnay of the Côte des Blancs, taking shape from Grand Cru parcels located south of Avize, reaching as far as the edge of the village of Oger. In this particularly gifted band, the chalky soils help to define a taut, luminous and deeply mineral profile, able to express with precision the identity of one of the most prestigious terroirs of Champagne.

This edition, RP 18-23, comes from the blending of the 2023 harvest with a réserve perpétuelle started in 2018, a choice that brings complexity and stylistic continuity, while vinification and fermentation take place with indigenous yeasts and maturation in oak barrels that carries the wine towards greater depth without weighing down its structure. After tirage it undergoes an ageing on the lees of at least 18 months, which helps to define an elegant and articulated texture, while no final dosage, in Brut Nature style, keeps an essential, taut and well-calibrated profile.

On tasting, Bourg/Sud opens on scents of fresh citrus, green apple and white flowers, accompanied by nuances of almond and delicate pastry hints. On the palate it expresses energy and precision, with a vibrant acidity harmoniously integrated into an enveloping creaminess, while the marked mineral imprint enhances the purity of the fruit and carries a long, refined finish in continuous evolution.
