Champagne Denis Salomon
La Belle Année 2019
The Champagne La Belle Année by Denis Salomon is born from a blend of the three classic Champagne grape varieties, rigorously selected from estate-owned vineyards located between Damery, Vandières, and Verneuil, in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne. This vintage cuvée represents a coherent synthesis of the territory, expressing carefully cultivated parcels and a production philosophy focused on precision and the enhancement of varietal identity.
This edition, Millésime 2019, takes shape from a growing season marked by full ripeness and a natural balance between concentration and vibrant acidity. The blend brings together 50% Pinot Noir, 42% Chardonnay, and 8% Meunier, using exclusively the tête de cuvée to ensure greater purity and expressive clarity. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks, and malolactic fermentation is not induced, preserving freshness, drive, and aromatic integrity. After tirage, the wine ages on its lees for approximately five years, a crucial period for developing complexity and depth. The final dosage of 5 g/l, in Extra Brut style, completes the profile with balance, precision, and overall harmony.
On the palate, La Belle Année 2019 shows a bright, luminous golden hue. The aromatic profile evokes ripe fruit, candied citrus, and subtle spicy nuances. It reveals a solid structure, supported by generous fruit and well-integrated acidity. The finish is long and consistent, with a dynamic balance between energy and depth that clearly reflects Denis Salomon’s artisanal approach.
