The Champagne Blanc de Blancs Millésime by Delamotte represents the highest and most considered expression of pure Chardonnay, a thoroughbred wine selected for its richness and its extraordinary aptitude for ageing. Heir to a long lineage of great vintages, it tells of the deep bond between the vine and its chalky soil, where minerality becomes a stylistic signature and the search for balance turns into a promise of longevity, in a vision that unites depth, finesse and timeless elegance.

This edition, Vintage 2018, born from one of the sunniest and most generous years in the recent history of Champagne, brings together Chardonnay grapes from the Grands Crus of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize, Oger, Cramant, Chouilly and Oiry, six villages able to blend minerality, structure and aromatic breadth. After tirage it undergoes ageing on the lees for up to 5 years before dégorgement, with a final dosage of 5g/l, in a Brut style, that enhances its purity and tension.

On tasting, the Blanc de Blancs Millésime 2018 proves elegant and luminous, with a fine effervescence that accompanies a rich and finely drawn body. On the palate the clean, citrusy attack gives way to a broad and fruity progression, supported by a chalky streak that lends drive and precision, while the persistence stretches long and vibrant, closing on a deep and saline finish that confirms the extraordinary consistency and the evolving potential of a great vintage.
