The Champagne Blanc de Blancs by Delamotte celebrates the absolute purity of Chardonnay as the highest expression of the chalky soil from which it springs, in a vision that makes minerality an identity-defining value rather than a mere stylistic trait. It is a wine of clear and vertical essence, able to appear austere in its youth and then reveal over time a luminous finesse, in which the tension of the terroir translates into deep elegance and a rare expressive consistency.

This Blanc de Blancs comes from Chardonnay grapes mainly from the Grands Crus of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize, Cramant and Oger. Vinification and fermentation take place in stainless steel tanks and include the integration of a small share of vin de réserve, no greater than 10%, able to enrich the complexity without affecting its purity. After tirage it undergoes ageing on the lees of no less than four years before dégorgement, with a subsequent rest of over six months that further perfects its elegance.

On tasting it proves clear and finely mineral, with a taut and slender structure that gains intensity and breadth with oxygenation. On the palate the chalky texture guides a chiselled and precise body, while the persistence stretches long and crystalline, closing on a finish of great finesse that reflects the complexity acquired during the long rest on the lees and the depth of a wine of impeccable balance.
