The Champagne Rosé Millésime 2018 by Charles Heidsieck embodies power, concentration and depth, reflecting one of the most remarkable vintages in Champagne. The cuvée is crafted from a blend of 59% Pinot Noir (including 8% vinified as red wine) and 41% Chardonnay, sourced from 10 villages classified as Grands and Premiers Crus – including Oger, Vertus, Chouilly, Aÿ and Ambonnay.
The year 2018, marked by a turbulent spring and a hot, dry summer, led to an abundant and exceptionally high-quality harvest. The grapes, healthy and perfectly ripe, gave birth to a wine that combines freshness, structure and elegance with rare harmony, becoming a symbol of the vineyards’ resilience and the House’s expertise.
On tasting, Rosé Millésime 2018 reveals its refined and generous style from the very first glance, with a deep, elegant copper hue animated by fine and lively effervescence. The nose is intense and complex, featuring floral notes of peony, rose and violet enhanced by a musky base, while the core is dominated by red and black fruits such as blackberry, blueberry and pomegranate, accompanied by citrus and spicy nuances. On the palate, the attack is rich and precise, with extraordinary aromatic concentration: exotic fruits, pepper, liquorice and black tea unfold in a crescendo that culminates in a lively and characterful finish.
