Champagne Charles Dufour
The ballad of the villages 2004
Charles Dufour initially approached viticulture in a traditional way and then almost immediately gave way to organic farming. His Champagnes exude immense authenticity reflecting the character of the terroir of the CĂ´te des Bar. This edition "The ballad of the villages" is the the result of grapes harvested in the vineyards owned by his father Robert, harvested back in 2004 vintage and refined by Charles in 2022!
This is a blend of Pinot Noir from vineyards around the villages of Landreville, Chervey and Neuville-Sur-Seine and Pinot Blanc from the lieu-dit "Le Champ du Clos" in Celles-sur-Orce. The wine rested over 15 years on its lees and has no final dosage - making it a Brut Nature. Rare and introverted Champagne Millésime.
