The Coteaux Champenois Blanc "Les Crayères du Levant" à l'état pur by Aurélien Lurquin brings to the bottle, without bubbles, the clearest voice of a chalky lieu-dit from Romery, a small village on the slopes of the Rive Droite of the Vallée de la Marne. Its philosophy lies in its very name, that of a wine left in its pure state, the result of artisanal viticulture and cellar work reduced to the essentials, designed to express the character of the site in a direct and sincere way.

This edition, bringing together the 2022 and 2023 harvests, is made exclusively from Meunier grapes vinified as a white wine, giving life to a rare still wine that highlights the finest and least known side of this variety. Vinification and maturation take place in fût de chêne with minimal intervention until bottling in November 2025, while the meeting of two such different vintages gives the wine greater balance, combining the generosity of the first with the tension and freshness of the second.

On tasting, the Blanc Les Crayères du Levant reveals a fine and luminous nose, with notes of citrus, yellow apple and white-fleshed fruit accompanied by delicate floral hints, light touches of hazelnut and a clear chalky imprint that defines its aromatic profile. On the palate it is taut and vertical, with a savoury, well-defined texture that carries its development with great balance towards a long, mineral and saline finish of pleasant persistence. Production in a limited run of 599 bottles and 25 magnums.
