Champagne Aubry
Aubry de Humbert 2018
The Champagne Aubry de Humbert 2018 is crafted from a blend of 60% Pinot Noir, 20% Meunier, and 20% Chardonnay. The grapes, sourced from carefully selected parcels rooted in chalk and clay-limestone soils, lend the wine structure, freshness, and aromatic complexity. The vineyards are located exclusively in Premier Cru villages of the Montagne de Reims – Villedommange, Pargny-lès-Reims, Jouy-lès-Reims, and Coulommes-la-Montagne – areas renowned for their finesse and balance.
The 2018 harvest involved the use of only the cœur de cuvée, the finest part of the must, with malolactic fermentation completed. After tirage, the wine aged at least 48 months on the lees, gaining depth and elegance, before being finished with an Extra Brut dosage of 4 g/l. This path perfectly reflects the Aubry style, a synthesis of classicism, precision, and strong territorial identity.
On the palate, Aubry de Humbert 2018 shows a brilliant golden color with a fine, persistent mousse. The nose reveals aromas of candied fruit, citrus peel, delicate spices, and mineral undertones. The taste is structured and dry, driven by energy and supported by a subtle tannic texture. Its balanced freshness leads to a long, persistent, and mineral finish, the hallmark of great Champagnes from Premier Cru villages.
